Speak the language of growth

Life is a good teacher.

It has our best interest in mind.

And, it's in our best interest to grow and develop into the person we’re intended to be.

You don’t have to grow. You have a choice. You can stagnate.

Growth is a long-term commitment and can be painful at times. It requires a process called reflection.

Stagnation is “now-term” focused and is pain averse. It’s supported by a process called deflection.

They each have their own language.

Reflection involves questions like:

  • What’s my role in this?

  • What will I do different next time?

  • How can I learn and grow from this?

Deflection revolves around statements like:

  • It’s not my fault.

  • They started it.

  • Things will never change.

Where are you headed?

The language you speak impacts your destination.
