A different kind of important

“What I do isn’t important.”

I listened as she continued…

“My boss tells me it is, but I just don’t think so.”

I asked, “Do you trust your boss?”

“Oh yes!” She replied.

I prodded, “Does she tell the truth?”

“I see where you’re going with this.” she smiled.

“So, if your boss isn’t lying, what’s preventing you from believing her?”

My question hung in the air.

Then, she spoke the shift that was happening in her heart:

“Maybe I’m a different kind of important.”

Yes.

We’re all a different kind of important.

Imagine if we were all the same kind of important…

That would be a mess…and really crowded.

What’s preventing you from believing…really believing…in the value you bring to the table?

What topics intrigue you?
