The journey of an entrepreneur - #3: Traits
What are the success traits of an entrepreneurial spirit?
Here are three that stand out:
Naivety: If it wasn’t for this quality, you would never start. You have to imagine your journey through a lens of, “This will work.” It’s not until after the launch that reality sets in: the journey will take longer and cost more than you ever imagined.
Urgency: When you finally jump (preferably without a safety net), it forces you to figure out how to fly...or at least how not to crash. It's important that urgency doesn't morph into panic or fear. It's a calm and deliberate commitment to moving forward and making progress…now.
Conviction: The word passion can be overused. Conviction more accurately captures the hold this dream has on you. There’s no way out, and even if there was, you wouldn’t want it. Your only option is to let your vision show up through you.
Naivety. Urgency. Conviction.
How will you put these qualities into action?
