The heart of your work

Western cultural programming likes to make work a logical decision.

What's a growing job market or industry? How can you earn a successful living? Where can you secure good benefits?

These aren’t bad questions. They’re important to consider. And, they’re logical.

Khalil Gibran said, “When you are born, your work is placed within our heart.”

What if meaningful work is more emotional than logical? What if the kind of work that’s fulfilling is less about what’s in your head and more about what’s in your heart?

The cool thing about programming is that you can change it. You can decide that the work residing within your heart doesn’t have to be safe, comfortable, or logical.

Give yourself permission to explore and pursue work that’s risky, challenging, and emotional.

Give your heart the work it’s longing for.
