Faulty programming (Copy)

Why did I resist getting help when my life was going poorly?

Programming.

All of us show up with a clean slate…a blank hard drive…

Then we receive input as we listen, observe, and interact.

Moment-by-moment, what we hear, see, and experience begins to form our Beliefs.

Our belief system expresses itself as our Behaviors.

For most of my life, my programming intake shouted: Men who seek help are weak.

Adopting this as a belief showed up in my behavior: I was more willing to let something crumble than feel fragile.

My turning point came when I began the journey of reprogramming.

I searched for an alternate truth.

One that said: Men who seek help are courageous.

Ultimately, I found it.

In order to behave differently, I needed to believe differently…

And that started with being more intentional about the programming I exposed myself to.

Identify the behavior you want to change, then ask yourself:

What old programming do I need to distance myself from?

What new programming do I need to align myself with?

Willingness is all you need to start.
