Change or transform?
What are most people doing on January 1st?
Vowing to lose weight?
Eat better?
Exercise more?
Stop smoking?
Stop drinking?
The list goes on, but the results are about the same.
By February 1st, things go back to the way they were on December 31st.
New Year’s resolutions are a prime example of change.
A short-lived battle of human will, where you force yourself to do something until you can't take it anymore.
Now, consider the acorn and the oak tree.
Within itself, the acorn has everything necessary to become the oak tree. In the presence of soil, light, and moisture it cracks open and gets to work becoming what it's intended to be.
Once the journey is started, an oak tree can’t go back to being an acorn.
A butterfly can’t go back to being a caterpillar….
That’s how it is with transformation. There’s no going back.
You were made on purpose for a purpose. You're here to grow and develop into the fullness of yourself… the self you're designed to be.
And here’s the catch:
Unlike the acorn and the caterpillar…you can opt out of your transformation.
Perhaps it’s time to release the mighty oak within you.
